Hitfilm express provides you with a pretty good experience if you have a high end PC with good specifications. Although there are some things you should be aware of like they try to trick you into buying their premium soft ware while you use the free one. A lot of email subscriptions and stuff are expected while using this soft ware. The reason for lag is that it is the most advanced software on my list.If you are a user with a normal operating system then hitfilm is not recommended at all.I bought a new high end PC this year which runs this soft ware fine but my previous pc definitely ran me into some lag and wasted quite a lot of my time.Jack Cole the famous youtuber himself prescribes the same advice to all the newbies in editing world. Also guys make sure that they do not trick you into buying the paid version for which it is recommended to use this soft ware while your internet connection is off.
